Sara Carpenter is an assistant professor in Educational Policy Studies at the University of Alberta and has worked as an adult educator in both community organisations and higher education. Her research interests are informed by her work with refugee and migrant populations as well as feminist, anti-poverty, and immigrant rights campaigns. She is co-editor of Educating from Marx: Race, Gender, and Learning (Palgrave MacMillan, 2010).
